Vaccine Requirements

DOGS:

• Rabies Vaccine within 1 year or 3 years, depending on vaccine given. Required by law.

• DHLPP Vaccine within 1 year of boarding. Provides protection against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza. Some local Veterinarians are now doing this vaccine every 2 years. Must show proof that your Veterinarian recommends the vaccine for 1 year or 2 years. Required by Illinois Department of Agriculture.

• Bordetella Vaccine within 1 year. Provides limited protection against upper respiratory infections. Some Veterinarians recommend this vaccine every 6 months for a frequently boarded pet. Bordetella vaccine is recommended at least 14 days before boarding. Check with your Veterinarian for more information.

Please bring all vaccine records with you or have them faxed from your Veterinarian's office prior to boarding.

Pet owners are responsible for providing vaccination records, we charge $5.00 to call your vet for you.

CATS:

• FVRCP within 1 year of boarding. Provides protection against Panleukopenia, or Feline Distemper, Rhinotracheitis, calcivirus and Pneumonitis.

• Rabies Vaccine within 1 year or 3 years, depending on vaccine given. Required by law.

• We also suggest that you speak with your Veterinarian about Feline Leukemia and have your cat tested.

• At This time, we are only accepting cats who have boarded with us before. Please call for details.

• All pets will be inspected upon arrival for fleas & ticks. Presence of parasites will require a pre-boarding bath at the pet owners expense.

• Flea treatment cost is $4.00 in addition to our regular rate for a bath for your pets size.

• NO pet will be allowed in the boarding area known to have parasites.

• Please notify us if your pet is on a flea & tick preventative.
